A practical transition map for 3M HFE-7100, HFE-7200 and HFE-7500

This guide provides a useful starting map—not an automatic drop-in approval. Final selection requires current TDS and SDS review, equipment and material compatibility, operating duty, process qualification and an agreed transition method.

HFE-7100 starting pathway

Noah SC60 and TMC-7100 are candidate pathways for an HFE-7100 transition discussion. Confirm whether the actual duty is heat transfer, precision cleaning, rinsing or a carrier-fluid process before screening properties.

HFE-7200 starting pathway

Noah SC76, TMC-7200 and Gemini PFS-232 are candidate pathways for HFE-7200 applications. They should be compared using the latest held technical data and the real system envelope.

HFE-7500 starting pathway

Gemini PFS-235 is a candidate pathway for selected HFE-7500 transitions. Similar naming or a single comparable property does not establish drop-in compatibility.

Prepare a controlled changeover

Record the installed fluid, annual quantity, pack size, equipment, operating temperatures, heat load or cleaning soil, wetted materials and qualification requirements. Plan recovery, inspection, flushing where required, charging, leak checks and post-change monitoring.
