When customization is justified
Custom engineering may be appropriate for unusual fluids, aggressive temperature ranges, high pressure drop, multiple process loops, limited footprint, remote condensers, special voltages, clean construction, communications or integration with existing equipment.
Engineering workflow
The project begins with a design basis covering load, temperatures, fluid, hydraulics, utilities, environment, controls, redundancy and acceptance criteria. Options are then reviewed before detailed design, build and testing.
Factory and site validation
Testing should reflect the agreed duty wherever practical. Documentation can include drawings, operating information, component data and test records. Site commissioning verifies installation, flow, controls, alarms and stable operation.
